This ongoing work looks at various laundry customs in Paris and New York laundromats, in outdated South of France stone wash-houses, in British middle class carpet floors homes, on Spanish sunny balconies.

The photographs first examine the urban typology of laundromats and slowly gets closer to their users. The work evolves into photographing daily lives scenes through the point of view of a washing machine, of clothes hung up on lines. These common places became theaters for stories to unfold.

Fish Tank slowly reveals how much a simple domestic chore can also say a lot about intimacy, identity, wealth and inequalities.
